The Mini's

When I decided to get miniatures, a lot of people asked why. Most saw a rider getting horses I couldn't ride. I knew a couple of "normal" sized horses would be hard on my parents land and I wanted experience training horses of my own, miniatures seemed like the perfect option. Upon researching smaller equines, I learned how they can be used in therapy.  They're able to travel to more places than full-sized horses and being less intimidating because of their size. I realized I was looking at an opportunity to make big differences with smaller packages.

Valentine was born on February 14th and that's what inspired his name. He was raised by an expert in miniatures giving him an exceptional start on life.  He loves people and generally prefers adults to the silly little munchkins often running around him, but he's decided they're alright too. Un-phased by anything but bunnies on a trail and the dreaded fly-spray, his calm attitude can be infectious as he curiously watches what you're doing. Valentine is sure to turn heads where ever he goes.

Sugar is herd boss in the field and he enjoys showing it by making sure HE is the first to greet you at the gate with his special kisses! As sweet as his name sake, he loves people, especially kids. This is incredible because in his former home one of the youngest members treated him aggressively. It use to be with a raise of my wrist he would jump away. With a lot of love he discovered people aren't scary, but sometimes loud noises such as clapping sure are! This little guy is sure to melt your heart as he reaches through the bars of the gate not for a treat but a gentle pet on the nose. He's already come so far in just a few short months and I have no doubt he'll be traveling to nursing homes and hospitals when the time comes.
